Document Library moderation allows you to review and organize documents prior to adding it to your Document Library. The document can be added from projects or directly into the Document Library/Content Library. This ensures your document is consistent, accurate, and clean, giving more confidence to your users.
Note: If enabled, all newly added documents will be sent for moderation. Moderation for Documents is exclusive only for users in the New Experience. The count of documents under moderation can be viewed in the classic UI (Document Library), while documents can be moderated only in the New Experience (Content Library).
Enabling Document Library Moderation
Document Library moderation is disabled by default. To enable moderation, follow the steps below:

Go to Organization Settings > Content Library > Preferences, then click the Edit icon associated with Document Library Moderation.

Turn the Document Library Moderation toggle on. Additional options appear:

Add the users you want to be notified of pending moderation content.

Add the roles that you want to allow to send content to moderation (when users with these roles add new content to the library, it will automatically be moved to moderation).

Click Submit. A success message will be displayed.

When project documents are copied to the library, it will be added to the moderation queue.

Once the document is accepted from the moderation queue, it will be added to the Document Library/Content Library; if rejected it will be sent to the Trash.

Accessing Document Library Moderation

Go to the Document Library and click
on the upper left-hand side of the screen. You are prompted to enable the New Experience.
Note: The notification bubble shows how many new questions have been submitted for moderation. -
Clicking on the icon will prompt you to switch to the New Experience.

Click Enable the New Experience. The Content Library Moderation page appears.

To view documents under moderation, select Documents under Content Type filter.
Note: All documents added for moderation will be listed under Project/Newly Added facet. -
To bulk accept or discard answers, select the Select All checkbox and click the Accept or Reject respectively. You can also select multiple documents by selecting the respective checkbox and the click Accept/Reject. A confirmation pop-up will be displayed.

Select Accept to accept or reject changes for all (or selected) documents.
Note: It is also possible to approve documents individually by selecting Accept or Reject associated with that document.

In the Answer Library landing page, if there are any new documents to be moderated, a red dot icon is displayed in the My Work tile.

Clicking the My Work tile will display the count of documents under review and moderation. Clicking the document review count will take you to the filtered view of Document Library (Classic UI). However, clicking the document moderation count will again prompt you to enable the New Experience.

Clicking the Team Work tile will display the count of Q&A Pairs and Documents pending for review and moderation for each user whenever assigned.

In the Content Library, you have an option to specify the moderator when you upload a new document.

Mail notification will be sent to the user, if notification is enabled in the Content Library Email Preferences for Daily Digest Content Process.
