Overview
Various documents may need to be attached to responses, including but not limited to pricing sheets, data sheets, and company information.
There are several ways attachments can be managed within Responsive.
Attaching Files to Questions in the Content Library
To attach files directly to a Q&A pair in the Content Library, follow the steps below:
- Click Content Library on the main navigation menu.
- Locate the desired Q&A pair and click the Edit icon on the top right of the card.
- Click Attach Files.
- Select the file from your computer, document library or cloud storage.
- Click Save.
Attaching Files to Questions in Projects
Note: If you attach a file from the Content Library and that file is updated while the project is active, the attachment will not automatically be updated.
To attach files directly to a response in a project, follow the steps below:
- Click Projects on the main navigation menu.
- Select a project; then go to the Section list and select a section.
- Click on a question under the section, then click the Attach Files icon.
- Select the file from either your computer, the Document Library, Project Docs (documents added to other responses in a project), or cloud storage. The file appears below the Response box along with a notification dot indicating the number of files attached on the Attach Files icon.
Adding Question Attachment Alert Text
A customized message can be added to appear anytime when attachments are added to a response within a project.
Note: The text will not appear if a Q&A pair with an attachment is applied via the Recommendation Engine. The attachment must be added directly to the response within a project.
- Click your avatar in the bottom left corner and select Organization Settings.
- Under Project, select Preferences. Scroll down to the Question Attachments Text option and click Edit.
- Enable the toggle, add your desired message, then click Submit.
Note: The [filename] merge tag can be leveraged here to automatically update with the appropriate attached file.
