There are multiple ways to assign questions to authors within a section.
Assigning an Individual Question
Click the More Options menu for the question you would like to assign, and then click Manage Users.
The Manage Users pane appears. Click the red minus sign to remove an existing author. Click the green plus sign to an one.
Begin typing the name of the person or team you want to add as an author. Enter % to see a list of available authors.
Select the person or team that you want. Specify if you want to include a custom message in the notification, and if you want that message to be included with tracked comments. If you plan to send multiple notifications to the same person or team, select Queue & Notify Later so they only receive one notification. Otherwise the notification will be sent immediately. When you are finished, click Save.
Assigning Questions in Bulk
You can assign multiple questions to users or teams.
Select the checkboxes of the questions you want to assign and then click Manage Users.
Specify a radio button for the action you want to perform:
- Assign Authors: Assign authors if no authors are currently assigned to the questions
- Reassign Authors: Remove the existing authors and assign different ones
- Remove Authors: Remove the existing authors without assigning different ones

The Help Me Choose Authors Feature
You can use the Help me choose authors feature when you are assigning a single question or multiple questions. Select the link from the Manage Users box.
The Help me choose authors box shows the available authors with tags and their current assignments. This can help you decide who has the needed expertise and time to work on the questions. You can use filters to narrow down the list of possible authors.
Click the checkboxes for the people you want, and then click Select.
The authors you chose will appear on the Manage Users pane.
