Overview
The Duplicate Project feature allows you to create a new project from an existing one. It is similar to cloning a project, but allows you to include the file configurations from the source project in the new project.
- This feature is only available for Word and Excel questionnaires (.doc, .docx, .xls and .xlsx)
- The source project must have a single source file
Use Case: You want to create a new project from an existing project when the source files are identical, or nearly identical, saving a lot of time by copying previously completed work. You want the project team to copy the majority of the work from a previous project, and only spend time completing the unfilled parts.
Duplicating Projects
- Access the exported project and select Duplicate Project from the menu.
- Enter the name of the new project, select Choose File, then upload the file from the source project.
- Change any of the project details as necessary, then click Duplicate. After the file is imported, you will see a summary of what the application created in the new project.
- If there are more sheets in the new file than in the source, you will see them listed as Sheets Unmarked, and you can map them manually.
You can also see how many answers have been copied from the source file. - You can click Edit Project Details to see information about the new project.
- You can click View Sections to begin working on the new project.
