Using eSignature, sign documents within Responsive. There are two options for signing documents with eSignature: signing yourself or requesting signatures from others. The following instructions explain how to self-sign documents.
Note: This article specifically refers to using Responsive’s eSignature feature. For information about using eSignature with projects, refer to Using eSignature with Projects.
To sign documents electronically, follow the steps below:
- Click on eSignature from the navigation menu.
- From the Dashboard, select Sign Yourself.
- Next, add a document by uploading one, selecting from the Document Library, or via an enabled cloud storage integration. Responsive supports the following file types: .docx, .pptx, .pdf, .png, .jpeg, .jpg, and .bmp. When finished, click Next.
Note: Make sure the 'I’m the only signer' checkbox is selected during this step. - Click and drag fields such as signature, initials, date, and text to the document. A signature can be created/edited by clicking on it once the field has been added, or it can be created from the Dashboard.
- Once the appropriate fields have been added, click Finish.
- A confirmation page will appear where the document can be downloaded.
The document can also be downloaded at any time from the Recent section of the Dashboard tab, or the Documents tab.
