Overview
Responsive is committed to keeping your data safe. We use the robust security and key management controls provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) to protect the information of all our customers.
For customers who want additional security, Responsive allows customers to provide their own encryption key if they have an account with AWS Key Management Service (KMS). Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) functionality takes an encryption key generated from AWS KMS and uses it to encrypt:
- Answer Library answers
- Files in the Document Library
- Section templates
- Project answers and section descriptions
- Clarifications
- Activities
- Response templates
- Any files
- Attachments
Note: Contact your Account Manager to enable this feature.
Setting Up BYOK
Select your avatar in the lower left-hand corner and then select Organization Settings. Select Security, and then click Bring Your Own Key.
Navigate to AWS and use the KMS feature as described in the Amazon documentation to generate your encryption key.
Enter your key in the Enter Key ID field, and then click Validate Key.
The Validate Key button will only be enabled if the key is a valid key.
After the key has been validated, click Submit.
