This document describes the permissions required for a user with a custom role to access different features in Responsive. For more information on creating custom roles, refer to Creating Custom Roles.
Note: Custom Roles is an add-on feature. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
Project Permissions

View Projects
Ability to view every project, regardless if the user is assigned to any tasks in this project.
Ability to only view MY Projects. My Project includes projects the user has at least 1 task assigned to them or projects they have created if they have the 'Create Project' option below.
Update Project Information
Ability to edit the Project information for any and all projects, regardless if the user is assigned to any tasks in this project.
Ability to only update MY projects information. My Project includes projects the user has at least 1 task assigned to them in or they have created if they have the 'Create Project' option below.
Generate Export Response
Ability to Generate Response packages regardless if the user is assigned to any tasks in this project.
Ability to generate the response package for projects or proposals in which the user is on the Project Team.
Download Export Package
This permission allows the user to view the Download button after generating an export response package for all projects.
This permission allows the user to view and use the Download button after generating an export response package for projects they are the a project team member in.
Project Report Preview
Ability to view all project reports and preview all projects.
Ability to only view MY project reports and preview MY projects.
Update Section
Ability to manage all sections, tasks, team, documents, clarifications and activities.
Ability to manage sections, tasks, team, documents, clarifications and activities in MY projects.
Respond Section
Ability to respond to/review all questions, update merge tags, flags, comment, manage clarifications and estimates.
Ability to respond to/review all questions, update merge tags, flags, comment, manage clarifications and estimates in MY projects.
Create Project
Ability to create and clone a Project or Proposal. Note: The user might need the additional role attribute of Project Primary Contact if they have this ability.
View Questions other than assigned
Allow users to view questions that are not assigned to the user.
Respond to Questions other than assigned
Allow users to respond to questions that are not assigned to the user.
Create new Tags
Allow user to create new tags in Projects. Note: This role will be available only if Respond Section role is enabled.
Apply and Remove Tags
Allow user to apply and remove existing tags in Projects. Note: This role will be available only if Respond Section role is enabled. If Create new Tags role is enabled, by default, this role will also be enabled.
Catalog Permissions
Header Toggle On
Enabling only the header toggle allows the user to view the available catalogs. The will not be able to Create or Edit the Catalog with only the header enabled.
Create Catalog
Allow user to create new catalog.
Edit All Catalog
Allow user to edit or delete all catalogs.
Organization Settings Permissions
Header Toggle On
No changes on enabling Organization Settings.
Project Settings
Allow user to configure custom fields, preferences, type, stage, flag, task template, project notes & Answer type template. Also allows the user to manage catalog structure in proposals.
Company Settings
Allow user to configure and manage user management, company settings, manage business units, email templates, third party integrations, workflow service, security settings, notification preferences and organization activities.
Content Library Settings
Allow user to configure and manage answer library preferences, custom fields, content review cycle, collections, tags, backup, standard response and related word search.
Manage Collections
Allow user to create new collections and assign users to collection.
Intake Settings
Allow user to manage intake creation form and notifications.
Proposals
Allow user to create new catalog structures, proposal group and manage preferences.
Linked Companies
Allow user to send link requests, add partner companies and share collections with the partner companies.
Manage Users
Allow users to configure and manage user management, and primary and shared business units.
Update User Primary Business Unit
Allow users to update other user's primary and shared business units to any business until they belong to or have access.
View Widgets
Allow users to only view widget details, view insights, and copy the source code.
Create and Update Widgets
Allow users to create new widgets; view, edit, and delete existing widgets.
Section Template Permissions
Header Toggle On
Gives view only access to Section Templates assigned to Default collection.
Edit All Section Template
Allow user to edit or delete section templates.
Add Section Template
Allow user to create new section template.
Answer All Section Template
Allow user to edit responses in section templates.
Content Library Permissions
Header Toggle On
Gives view and edit access to content owned by user (Owner or Moderator) in the Answer Library and the Document Library. Additionally the user can also view\edit content based on the privacy settings specified to the user role.

Ability to moderate all content pending in moderation queue.
Ability to moderate content where they are assigned as Moderator.
Edit Content
Ability to edit and delete content with default privacy settings, without collections or owners.
Ability to edit and delete content where they are assigned as Owners.
Add Content
Allow user to add or import new content in answer library and add documents in document library.
Download Content
Allow users to export content from the Answer Library.
Translate Individual Q&A Pairs
Please note that the Add Content permission is needed to save the Translated Content.
Bulk Translate
Permission to initiate Bulk Translation of content in the Answer Library.
Reports Permissions

Executive Dashboard
Allow user to view and download project based reports.
User Report
Allow user to view and download user report that shows snapshot user assignment and time spent.
Email Report
Allow user to view report of all emails triggered from app.
Open Task Report
Allow user to view and download open tasks report.
Answer Library Report
Allow user to view answer library report.
User Login Report
Allow user to view and download User Login Activity Report.
Content Usage Report
Allow user to view and download Content Usage Report.
Application Usage Report
Allow user to view and download Application Usage Report.
Manage Reports
Allow user to create and manage Custom Reports & dashboards.
Answer Library Search Terms Report
Allow user to view and download Answer Library Search Report.
Intake Permissions
