Overview
Various documents may need to be attached to responses, including but not limited to pricing sheets, data sheets, company information, etc.
There are several ways attachments can be managed within Responsive.
Attaching Files in the Answer Library
To attach files directly to a Q&A pair in the Answer Library, follow the steps below:
- Click on Answers to go to the Answer Library.
- Locate and select the desired Q&A pair and click the Edit (i.e. pencil icon) next to it.
- Click Attach Files.
- Select a file from your local computer or from the Document Library. Click Save.
Note: For more information about attaching and linking documents from the Document Library to the Answer Library, refer to Linking Documents Between the Answer Library and Document Library.
Attaching Files to Questions in Projects
To attach files directly to a response in a project, follow the steps below:
- Go to Projects on the main navigation menu.
- Select a project and go to the section list. Select a section.
- Click on a question within the section, then click Attach Files (i.e. the paperclip icon).
- Select a file from your local computer, the Document Library, or from project docs (i.e. documents added to other responses in a project). The file will then appear on that response.
Adding Question Attachment Alert Text
A customized message can be added to appear anytime when attachments are added to a response within a project.
Note: The text will not appear if a Q&A pair with an attachment is applied via the Recommendation Engine. The attachment must be added directly to the response within a project.
- Click your avatar in the bottom left corner and select Organization Settings.
- Under Project, select Preferences. Scroll down to the Question Attachments Text option and click Edit (i.e. pencil icon).
- Enable the toggle, add your desired message, then click Submit.
Note:The [filename] merge tag can be leveraged here to automatically update with the appropriate attached file.
