Once the Salesforce RFPIO package is installed, you need to connect to Salesforce from RFPIO. To enable and connect to Salesforce, you can follow the steps below:
Permission: Only users with RFPIO Admin privilege can configure Salesforce from RFPIO.
Select Organization Settings from the account details section.
The Organization Settings-Manage Users page will be displayed.
Click INTEGRATION.
Click Configure associated with Salesforce. The Salesforce page will be displayed with Salesforce toggle switch disabled.
Turn on the toggle-switch to enable Salesforce and click SUBMIT.
Once submitted, a page as show below will be displayed. Click ADD NEW to create a new instance.
A section as shown below will be displayed.
Enter a name for the instance.
Select the instance to connect to from the options. If custom domain URL is selected, specify the URL in the Salesforce URL field.
Select Business Unit.
Specify the Sync Interval.

Instance: Each Salesforce account will be considered as an instance.
Salesforce URL: Indicates the URL for your Salesforce instance. If you wish to connect to your Sandbox environment, you can specify the sandbox URL, for example: https://test.salesforce.com. For connecting to production environment, you can leave it blank.
Business Unit: You can select the business unit to be associated with the instance. This field will be displayed only if Business Unit, a paid add-on has been enabled for your company.
Sync Interval:
Indicates the interval after which data from Salesforce must be synced with RFPIO. However, if 1 hour is specified as the sync interval, and no activities are carried out in Salesforce related project in RFPIO, data/changes made in Salesforce will not be automatically synced with RFPIO.
Only when the user accesses the Salesforce project in RFPIO, the data will be synced. The data will be automatically synced with Salesforce at the interval specified here, if the user is active in any Salesforce project in the RFPIO.
Click CONNECT TO SALESFORCE AND PUBLISH DATA FOR REPORTING.
Note: Selecting this will connect RFPIO to the Salesforce instance specified here. It will also publish project data in RFPIO for reporting in Salesforce.
Successfully connecting to Salesforce will display Account connected and Reports can be generated in Salesforce as shown below:

Testing Connection: To test if the connection is active, you can click the icon. The account status will be displayed as shown:
Allow association of Intake/Projects with Salesforce objects from within RFPIO:
1. If selected, users will be able to create intake/projects in RFPIO and associate with Salesforce objects.
2. If not selected, users will not able to create Salesforce object associated projects in RFPIO, but can continue creating Projects within Salesforce.
Connect using Admin account instead of Individual user account: This option will be available only if association of Intake/Projects with Salesforce objects from within RFPIO is selected.
If selected, system will user global account (configured in this page) for all Salesforce lookup.
If not selected, if the user is creating a Salesforce associated project in RFPIO, they have to connect to Salesforce using their own account.
Chatter/Files: Select Chatter when you need the export package to be published in chatter as well as in Notes and Attachments section in Salesforce. Select Files if you need the export package to be published only in Notes and Attachments section.
Auto-Publish Export Response Package to Salesforce: Select this option only to auto-publish export response package to Salesforce.
If selected, export response package will be auto-published to Salesforce. The response package exported in RFPIO will be displayed in Salesforce as an attachment as shown below for the associated object:

If not selected, you can manually publish the export response package at the project level. This option will be available at Project level only when Salesforce is connected at the Organization Settings.
You can also select the object type for project association by clicking the associated checkbox.
Note:
By default, at least one object type should be selected for association with Salesforce. To restrict an object type from association with RFPIO, you can clear its checkbox.
You can also add custom object type for project associated by clicking Add Salesforce Data.
You can set a default object type for project/intake association from Set Default drop-down options.
The option set here will be selected as default while associating project/intake to Salesforce.
Turn on the toggle switch to enable the instance. Only if this is turned on, the instance will be available for Salesforce association.
Click SUBMIT to save the selections.
