Offline language translation allows bulk translation of all Answer Library contents to the required languages using any third-party translation tools.
Note: To do this you must have the Translation Add On, user level access to organization settings, and answer library back up enabled. Contact your Account Manager to discuss enabling these features if needed.
To do a bulk offline language translation, follow the steps below:
- From Organization Settings, click CONTENT LIBRARY.
- Click Backup. The Organization Settings – Backup page will be displayed.
- Click GENERATE NEW. The Answer Library Backup pop-up will be displayed:
- Select Excel (xlsx) and click GENERATE. A message as shown below will be displayed:
The backup file generated will be displayed as shown below:
- Click DOWNLOAD. The zipped file will be downloaded to your local machine.
- Open the file and delete all columns except ID, Question, Alternate Questions and Answers.
- Using any third-party software/tool, translate the content to the desired language, for example: Russian.
- In the downloaded Excel file, create 3 new columns: Question, Alternate Question, and Answers in the translated language. These columns are in addition to the columns mentioned in step 6.
- From Answer Library, click Add New icon located on the top navigation bar and select UPLOAD DOCUMENT.
- The Upload Document page will be displayed. Click CHOOSE FILE associated with Standard Templates.
- Click CHOOSE FILE to browse and select the file.
- The Import File pop-up will be displayed. Click ADD FILES to browse and add file.
- Once the file is uploaded, the Upload File page will be displayed as shown below:
- Enter a name for the Project.
- Enter values for the following fields:

- Click SAVE, and then IMPORT.
Successfully updating the translated contents will display the same in Answer Library as shown below:
- Click Answer Library icon > any QA pair > More Options > View Properties.
- Click Show Linked Content. All linked contents (translated contents), along with the language in which it is translated (example: German, Russian) will be displayed as shown:
- Clicking on the link, will take you to the translated Q-A pair.
