In addition to the default user roles, Custom Roles can be created to further customize and restrict access within your organization, allowing for maximum flexibility.
Permission: Only the Super Admin can create or edit Custom Roles. Note: Custom Roles is an Add-on feature and needs to be enabled by the Responsive's staff. Please contact your Account Manager or accountmanagers@responsive.io if you would like this feature to be enabled. |
Creating a Custom Role
To create custom roles, you can follow the steps below:
- Go to Organization settings > USER MANAGEMENT > select Manage Roles.
- The Manage Roles page will be displayed. Click NEW ROLE.
The Add New Role page will be displayed.
- Enter a name and description for the role.
- Toggle on the module name to enable that module for this role.
- Select the checkbox associated with the permission to associate it with this role.

- Click CREATE ROLE to add the new role.
The created role will be displayed in the Manage Roles page. When creating new users, all available roles including the newly added role will appear in the Role drop-down.

Cloning a Role
To clone an existing role, you can follow the steps below:
- Click the icon associated with the role to be cloned and select Clone.
- The Clone Role page will be displayed. Make the required modifications and click CLONE ROLE.
The role will be cloned and will be displayed in the Manage Roles page.
View Custom Roles to know the various roles and permissions required for a user to access different features in Responsive.
