Overview
Section Templates can be used as boilerplate pieces of content to be added to projects. This includes information that can help to build a proposal, add to an RFx, and export into a Response Template.

Creating a Section Template
To create a Section Template, follow the steps below:
- Go to Sections on the left-hand navigation menu. Click Add Section.
- Choose Add a Section or Add Multiple Sections.
- Enter the Section Name(s), and assign Tags, Collections, Owners, as needed. Create sub-sections, if necessary, by assigning a Parent Section. When finished, click Save.
Adding Content to a Section Template
To add content to a Section Template, follow the steps below:
- Click on the Section Template name.
- To add a Section Description, which can be useful for Executive Summaries, type in the corresponding field, then click Save.
To add Q&A content, which can be useful for FAQs, select the Question tab, then click Add Questions. - Enter questions by typing the question text. Add multiple questions by inputting text on separate lines.
Configure the Answer Type(s) by choosing from the drop-down menu, selecting if the answer is required, and inputting the Answer Header. Select a Parent Question, if necessary. When finished, click Add. - The question(s) will appear within the Section Template. Click on each question to provide an answer accordingly. The Recommendation Engine can also be used to complete responses.
Importing a Section Template into a Project
Import section templates into an active project to quickly assemble content for an RFx. To import section templates, follow the steps below:
- Go to Projects on the left-hand navigation menu. Then, click on a project name and go to the Section List.
- Click Add Section, then Import from Template.
- Select the section(s) to add by checking the box(es). Then, click Next.
- Set the Section Template Owner as the Author and/or Reviewer, and select a Parent Section as needed. When finished, click Import.
Once sections are imported, by default they will be added to the bottom of the list, but can be re-ordered as needed.
Creating Section Templates from a Project
Section Templates can also be created from sections within projects. To create a Section Template from a project, follow the steps below:
- Go to Projects on the left-hand navigation menu. Then, click on a project name and go to the Section List.
- Select More Options (the three dots icon) next to a section and click Save as Template.
Alternatively, to save multiple sections as templates, check the boxes next to the sections, click Edit, then Save as Template. - Rename the template and add to Collections as needed. Then, click Save.
