When to Use Multi-Column Drop-Downs as Answer Types in Excel

Overview

When a questionnaire asks that you select one answer from a row across multiple columns, use a multi-column drop-down as the answer type. Users can choose the multi-column drop-down answer type while configuring the Excel file.

Use Case: Question 1 has four possible responses in columns C, D, E, and F and you are being asked to provide your response in one of the columns to fulfill the question requirements.

Using Multi-Column Drop-Downs as Answer Types in Excel

1. Select the Answer column and map it with Answer from the left options.
   
2. Click Add Options and provide the Excel column name and value in the UI and File.
   
3. The Add Answer Type pop-up displays. Add the required answer types.
   
4. After import, you can answer the question by selecting an option from the drop-down in the Response section as shown below and then export the responses.
