Overview
It may be necessary to review Content Library content outside of the normal review cycle.
Use Case: Your company has added a number of new features to one of your products, and all Content Library content must now be updated before any additional RFPs are submitted. Or, your company has recently gone through a merger or acquisition, and your content needs an immediate on demand review.
- When an On Demand Review is initiated, it automatically emails the reviewers links to the content and creates tasks for them. The content appears on the Review tab.
- While an On Demand Review is in progress, the content cannot be changed in the Content Library.

Permissions
Users selected to review content as part of an On Demand Review are temporarily granted the same permissions as the owner, even if that user does not usually have that access (including access to collections).
Setting Up On Demand Reviews
- Go to Organization Settings > Content Library > Content Review, then click Edit next to On Demand Review.
- Turn on the On Demand toggle, then click Submit.
Initiating On Demand Reviews
Assigning an Individual Item for On Demand Review
To assign a Q&A pair or file to one or more reviewers:
- Go to the Content Library and locate the item that must be reviewed.
- Click the Menu (three stacked dots), then select On Demand Review.
- Enter the details of the review:
- Begin typing the name of the first reviewer (we automatically provide suggested names that you can select). Enter all reviewer and team names.
- Enter the date the review is due.
- Enter a message for the reviewers, if needed.
- Click Send for Review.
Assigning Multiple Content Items for On Demand Review
To send more than one item for review:
- Go to the Content Library and locate the items that must be reviewed.
- Select the checkboxes for the items, or click the Selected checkbox in the header to select all the displayed items. The Bulk Options toolbar appears on the header
- Click More in the header, then choose On Demand Review.
- Enter the details of the review:
- Begin typing the name of the first reviewer (we automatically provide suggested names that you can select). Enter all reviewer and team names.
- Enter the date the review is due.
- Enter a message for the reviewers, if needed.
- Specify if the review should be performed by any of the reviewers or all of them.
- Click Send for Review.
Impact on Scheduled Reviews
When an On Demand Review is initiated, it replaces the scheduled review date with the due date from the On Demand Review. After the review is completed, the next review date is determined by the existing review cycle and will be set to the existing reviewers.
The On Demand Review process does not affect the owners of the content. For content that has been assigned owners and reviewers, only the reviewers are assigned the task.
Example:
A Q&A pair is scheduled to be reviewed every three months, and the next due date is April. If an On Demand Review is initiated with a due date in March, the next regularly scheduled review will be due in June, not July.
