Overview
While viewing the Answer Library or answering questions using the Recommendation Engine, users can filter search results using the Advanced Search capabilities. With Advanced Search, the appropriate content can be found quickly and easily.
Search filtering is also available while configuring the Answer Library Search Filter within Project Settings, and while using the Auto-Respond feature.
Advanced Search filters can include some of the following options:
- Keywords
- Has Images, Attachments, Linked Content, Comments, or Alert Text
- Tags
- Star Rating
- Project Name
- Section Name
- Owners
- Moderators
- Collections
Using Advanced Search in the Answer Library
To use Advanced Search in the Answer Library, follow the steps below:
- From the Answer Library main page, click View All Content.
- From the search bar at the top, click on the down arrow to access Advanced Search.
- Select and/or input the filters to apply to the search (e.g. Keywords, Tags, Project Name, etc.). Then, click Search.
Note: Adding the % symbol at the beginning of applicable fields will show the full list of options for that field. For instance, to search all the available Tags, insert the % symbol in the Tags field.
Searching the Answer Library by Question ID
Each question has a unique number that is included in the Excel spreadsheet when you export content from your Answer Library. To search your Answer Library for a specific question, enter id:questionid in the Search field, where questionid is the Question ID from the spreadsheet.
Using Advanced Search in the Recommendation Engine
To filter results while answering questions using the Recommendation Engine, follow the steps below:
- Go to a Project from the Projects list and open up the Section List. Click on a section.
- Click on a question. The Recommendation Engine should appear.
Note: If the Recommendation Engine does not automatically appear, click the More Options button and select Recommendations. - From the search bar at the top right, click on the down arrow to access Advanced Search.
- Select and/or input the filters to apply to the search (e.g. Keywords, Tags, Project Name, etc.). Then, click Search.
Note: Check the Freeze Filters for this section box at the top of the Advanced Search window to make the filter sticky for all questions within the section. - Select responses by hovering over them and applying them to questions.
